Last Friday night the FootieBugs Academy had an exciting visit from two Birmingham City Academy coaches. Ian James and Andy Corbett came to put our kids to the test! They held an hour session with the children to give them an idea of the standard they are looking for, and let’s just say that our boys and girls had the best nights’ sleep that evening!
Ian and Andy came along to scout, to see if any of the FootieBugs Academy Players were ready to move forward into the Birmingham City Academy.
They have spotted a lot of potential during their visit! Ian and Andy were very impressed with every child and the effort that they put into the session, and believe that with continued hard work and perseverance, our boys and girls are likely to go far.
We look forward to our next visit from ‘The Boys in Blue’ and we will be sure to ‘Keep Right On’ until then.
The FootieBugs Academy is an elite training programme for U6s – U12s, which takes place in South Birmingham & Solihull during the week on advanced 3G pitches/Astro Turf pitches. Our FootieBugs Academy has been created for those children that show promising football skills and are passionate about taking it to a higher level.
